The purpose of the Finance Committee is to monitor the administration’s finances and financial record keeping and make recommendations to council on behalf of the Hupacasath membership.
The Finance Committee is comprised of 3 council appointed community members (Hugh Watts, Paulette Tatoosh, and Brenda Sayers) as well as 2 council members. The CEO and CFO will also CFO serve as non-voting advisors to the committee.
The committee meets quarterly as well as when needed throughout the year (i.e. during the budgeting preparation and presentation)
The role of the Housing Committee is to monitor the housing inventory of the Hupacasath First Nation and record and make recommendations to council on behalf of the Hupacasath membership.
This committee is comprised of at least five (5) and not more than nine (9) people. Chief and Council appoints One (1) member of Council, and the remaining vacancies are Hupacasath members. Currently the Housing Committee members are: Diana Evaniuk, Sharon Van Volsen, Sheri Lauder, TaraTatoosh, Lee Michaud and Jim Tatoosh as the Council Portfolio holder. The Housing Coordinator as well as the CEO form a part of the committee in a non-voting advisory and support capacity.
The Housing Committee meets monthly and as required.
